Why your support matters

The Explorer is a registered Scottish charity (SC023518). We rely on public donations, fundraising, and the time and commitment of our volunteers to keep our work going.

Although we apply to major funders to support preservation and restoration projects, we also need to cover essential day-to-day costs, including:

・insurance

・fuel

・volunteer welfare and training

・health and safety requirements

・temporary facilities, such as Portaloo hire, while there is no water supply at our berth Your donation makes a difference
