The Society is a membership organisation and we have received lots of smaller donations throughout the year from various people for which we are truly grateful.

The Explorer is a registered Scottish Charity SC023518 and relies upon public donations, fundraising and our volunteers. While the costs of our preservation and restoration works are the subject of applications to a variety of major funders, we also need to fund core costs which include insurance, fuel, volunteer welfare and training, health and safety requirements and the hire of a portaloo while there is no water source available our berth.
If you are able to support our work and help us afford the ongoing maintenance costs, we would be very grateful. All donations small or large will be most welcome, if you can Gift Aid your donation this will add 25p to every £1 donated.
